V Grooving

V-Grooving adds a touch of elegance to a piece of glass and enhances the overall aesthetics of a space.

Similar to chiseling a piece of wood, V-Grooving cuts v-shaped lines — both linear and curved — into the surface of a pane of glass to create intricate designs. Lines can be left ground for a textured and opaque appearance or polished for a clear finish. Line sizes and finishing styles can be combined to create unique effects, such as shadowing or obscuring transparency.

In addition to providing distinct visual elements to a space, V-Grooving can be used to recreate designs found on vintage glass during restoration projects.

V-Grooving provides an alternate method to acid etching designs onto glass.

V-Grooving Applications:

  • Specialty panes
  • Doors
  • Mirrors
  • Shower enclosures
  • Cabinetry and Millwork

Industries served: Home development, commercial development, restoration

As an additional service, we offer custom work based on your design ideas. Those with custom V-Groove designs must provide renderings and specs. Custom designs have limits, including both the size of the stock and design placement in relation to the distance from the edge.
